Bought a new stereo for the Trans Am because the 70s aftermarket deck I installed doesn’t have a working radio and as much I love my 8-track copies of Journey, REO Speedwagon, ELO, and the Eagles, it gets old after a while. Picked up this vintage-y looking stereo for $25 on Amazon, haven’t gotten around to installing it yet but the instructions leave something to be desired lol.
Im not really sure how to pair the Bluetooth either since it’s not mentioned in the instructions at all but the Amazon reviews says it works well. Who knows... hopefully it powers on.

I hate to say it but I think a radio should cost a little more than that...

You mean : a rabio shoulb cots a bou t more then thate...
Bluetooth on aftermarket head unit is usually always on and visible and doesn’t require a password, you just connect to it with your phone and select the bluetooth source.

That was probably written by the same copywriter who worked on the flying headless Goku.

On the plus side, that looks way nicer than ca. 95% of aftermarket radios out there. If you could figure out a way to paint the faceplate black, it would almost pass for stock

Well almost all of those are English words!

This will be the most expensive stereo I’ve ever put in the car lol. The first three I’ve had were free, one even came out of a dumpster.

What’s the point of a remote control for a car stereo?

This is another reason why I don’t buy from Amazon. Evil empire and cheap carp from China. Sparrow has a new $50 AM/FM/CD w/ Bluetooth, USB, etc. from Wally World that I could read the manual for before I bought it. A Sony on clearance . It’ll last 5 years or so and then s he’ll get something the same and better.

On Sparrow, I can mess with the radio mounted at the nav station from the saloon. Can’t see a reason for one in a car, either. Maybe in a van or crew cab. Annoy the driver from the back seat? :)

This just reeks of electrical fire hazard to me.

I’ll just pop in here as I used to have a Trans Am. This was the last radio I installed. Yeah, they are vintage now too. No Bluetooth obviously.

I just wish more reputable manufacturers would build something vintage looking that is both highly functional and not overpriced. With a vintage look. Currently you seem to have to have the option between these $25 Chinese specials and $300 luxury parts. But nothing that costs $100.
I just want USB, aux in (maybe at the back), bluetooth, DAB+ (satellite in the US?) and adjustable lighting color to match the rest of the car.

I mean it is a Fire bird lol. I kid, I kid, I always carry a fire extinguisher with me and ensure I always have fuses for electrical additions.
